What is The Filter?
The
Filter is a smart recommendation and discovery system crafted to help
you make sense of the ever-growing amount of music, movies and video
available to you. It's the perfect tool to help you discover new
content that you'll enjoy so much that you'll just have to share it
with friends (real ones, and, you know, online ones).
How does it work?
To get started you need to tell The Filter what movies and music you like (and dislike).
You can do this by rating music and movies, importing existing last.fm
or Flixster profiles and by telling us what's in your music library. Click to get started.
The Filter digests all this information, builds your taste profile and
then runs a few mathematical equations to come up with the music,
movies that you will enjoy/love find scarily awesome.
