SYMPTOMS
When
you try to open a new Microsoft Internet Explorer window after you
close a previous Internet Explorer window, Internet Explorer crashes.
This problem occurs when the previous Internet Explorer window displayed one or more XSL transformations.
CAUSE
This
problem occurs when the Microsoft XML Parser version 3.0 (MSXML 3.0)
throws an access violation during the XSL transformation. The access
violation is caught by error handling. However, the Internet Explorer
threads remain corrupted. When the Internet Explorer threads are
corrupted, Internet Explorer crashes the next time that you try to open
a new Internet Explorer window.
